High on a hill

I have a regular column in ‘the non league paper’ and the latest one was in Sunday, August 25th.

It featured a game at Cwmbran where I met some supporters who watched from a smal hillock

by pitch side, overlooking a disused stadium. The club were the first winners of the league of

Wales. It is  a place I would like to return to such was the warmth, the score was

Cwmbran 8 Wattsville 1 – on a bright and sunny late summer afternoon with ‘friends’

who enjoyed the time and each others company in the spirit of the game.
